Thank you so much for this post. I too have trouble knowing when to step in and when to let things go with my boys. I jump on almost every offense because I feel if I let something go the boys will think that it is okay to treat each other like that. I would like to have more wisdom so that my decisions are better when stepping in and saying the right thing that helps shift the mood from negative to positive. I often seem to extend the argument instead of helping to solve or move away from it. I need more prayer and quiet time to think about my next step before jumping in. I’ve never heard the cyclical/structural idea before. Definitely helpful!

Don’t have time to leave a detailed reply as I am headed out the door to a crazy afternoon and evening, but this is wonderful.
Such a great lesson, and powerful reminder to pray more.
Thank you!-

thanks meredith! hope you survived your crazy afternoon & evening and you were able to decipher structural from cyclical behaviors. And yes, the praying…so simple yet such a challenge to remember to talk to the Lord!
