I feel like it was meant just for me. I listened to it while I was running this morning and just broke down crying. I think the most resounding quote for me that Paul David Tripp said was, “If I’m going to parent the way God has called for me to parent, I need to be rescued from me”. I struggle daily with finding grace for my children. It’s always a fight. I grew up with so much anger and all I want is to find God’s love in my heart for my children. This podcast has enlightened and encouraged me and I know it was just what God wanted me to hear. Thank you so much. reply → Stacey Madison September 22, 2017 at 06:30 Hi Heather, I had a question for you regarding something you said in this podcast with Paul Tripp. I was felt like my feet were kicked out from underneath me when Paul Tripp said “You cannot pursue the American definition of a successful child and pursue the Gospel with your child at the same time.” Wow, that is so so true!!!! You then were talking about how life had gotten so busy for your family after your kids started sports and after school activities and homework that you felt like you had little time to connect with your kids so you made 5 small changes in your home that had huge impact on allowing time to connect more intentionally with your kids. I was curious if you would be willing to share what those 5 steps are? I tried to find your email address on your website but everytime I clicked to access your email address it brought me to a podcast page so I could not find your email. I’m hoping you will see this comment, but my family of 3 kids are in the “busy” school ages with our children and we say no to a lot of stuff like birthday parties and travel sports and after school activities, but we still are struggling to find the time for personal connection between homework, one sport per child and all the other crazy life things that come with having kids. Would you share your thoughts on what changes you implemented that impacted your family so profoundly? Thanks so much. I love, love your podcasts so thank you for pursuing God’s calling on your life and sharing with fellow mamas!!! Stacey Leave a Comment Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
