Where I boast about my weak decorating…

I considered hanging my “Be still & know that I am God” sign above our mantle. Since that required pulling out a hammer, nail and ladder (3 objects extremely dangerous in the presence of small boys), the sign sat leaning on top of mantle…for months. It’s pleading message  of “be still” peaking out behind a decorative glass plate and a vase. Like the can of ...

    Heather, I LOVE it the crooked way. :) I would KEEP it that way to remind you that you have permission not to be perfect or expect perfect, but to be still and at peace in knowing GOD is perfect.

      right? I haven’t fixed it since the first day (in which I straightened it 3x!). Glad to know I’m not alone in my minimalist approach to wall-hanging. ;) thanks Julie!

      Thanks stacie…I have witnessed you (via your blog) “being still & knowing He is God” through some extremely challenging events. Even though we’ve never met face-to-face I was so blessed with your faithfulness through Gavin’s treatment. You are a gem!

Would you even care to read another post about faith? But then I remembered I am writing for an audience of One. He would love for me to write about believing Him better. “And behold, the word of ...

How to Remove Seeds of Selfishness {Wisdom from Murray}

“When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God…When Adam had lived 130 years, he fathered a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.” Genesis 5:1,3 “Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed him.” Genesis 4:8 Adam’s sin became Cain’s sin: God made man in His image. As the Creator of life, in His image, men have the ability to ...
