When you have 3 young children…and you are 35 weeks pregnant…and your husband is out of town for a week…and you get a 5 hour break in the day…what should you do? Shop? Read a book? Get a pedicure? photo credit These are the things I thought about doing during my “break”. But ...

thank you! loved it!
Hi there, I came to this from a link that Janel Chatraw put on her Facebook page today. You are a great writer and I loved the article! My church here in Atlanta, GA has launched a ministry that is specifically geared towards what you are talking about here. The ministry is called Jesus in the Quran (JIQ) and you can go to the website at http://www.jesusinthequran.org to learn more. They hold training weekends all over the country throughout the year – if they ever come to your city, I highly recommend attending, especially as you continue to deepen your relationships with your Muslim friends.
Here’s an excerpt from the “about” page on the website:
“Our team shares an intense desire to see peace blossom between Christians and Muslims, and we believe that true peace can only be found in the Kingdom of God. Our approach to these conversations about faith has its roots in the model of Jesus and his early followers. We build friendships, study the Bible and the Qur’an together, and ask God to help us answer the all-important question: “Who is Jesus and what does He have to do with entering the Kingdom of God?”
What a fantastic conversation you were able to have on your “day off” – many blessings to you as you continue this journey with these new friends!
Thanks for sharing wendy!! Sounds like an awesome ministry! I will definitely check out the website. I’m glad you posted it here so others can learn more about the Muslim religion. (Don’t you love the Chatraws?…blessed to have known Janel since Kindergarten!).
Awesome!
Way to go, Heather! What a great testimony to what our God can do! Keep us updated if anything else happens! By the way, you are totally a rock star for taking care of the kiddos solo for a week. I’ve been there in a smaller amount of time and it is killer!
