I love Sara and am so glad that you all connected for this interview. Even though I talk with her all the time I am looking forward to the Podcast and all of the tips I can glean from her. Ashley Lewis May 19, 2017 at 15:47 This episode was packed full of all kinds of good stuff! I’m going to have to listen a few times! In my own life, I also wanted to point something out as we have a daughter on the autism spectrum and over the past year have been in many different therapies and trying new strategies. Our occupational therapist caught a vision problem with her that I never would have seen otherwise. We are currently going through vision therapy (something I never knew existed.) There are some cases, like with my daughter, where she has 20/20 vision but her lack of strong eye muscles were causing her body to move faster in order to keep up with her eyes, looking like hyperactivity. It may be something other parents may want to think about before just going straight to an ADHD diagnosis. The statistics are that 1 in 4 children have some sort of vision related problem that affects their learning abilities. I hope that this may help someone! Keep up the great work Heather! Lindsay June 1, 2017 at 19:15 Thank you for this episode! It was very insightful and helpful. I would really love to hear more about Oppositional Defiance Disorder. Sara mentioned it briefly at the end of the podcast, but I am desperate for more resources to help with my non-compliant child. Thanks! Rachel McCloud June 8, 2017 at 17:26 This was so awesome. My daughter doesn’t have ADD but I do. I would love to hear something about how ADHD mom’s can survive and actually get things done and be a good parent and wife 🙂 Bethany November 29, 2017 at 13:46 Thank you so much for this episode. I recently discovered your Podcast and have been going back through past episodes. As a mom of a child with the inattentive type ADHD I often find myself running into walls on how I can help my son (and our family) not just survive but thrive and rejoice in how God has created us each uniquely. Not only did this provide so many good ideas and tips but it has given me hope! Thank you!
